Schedule changes for Winter 2017

Of course it didn't last...

Due to poor planning on my part and some wildly optimistic appraisals of what would be done by January we have had to move the schedule around a bit.  First off, the Assyrian-Babylonian game had to be pushed out because of a combination of events that would make it nearly impossible to put on (incl. the 40 Assyrian chariots that were probably not going to be done in time, the Babylonian opponents were also pushed back, and the Medes necessary to make it a game were unavailable.)  That game has moved to the last game in March.

So that means that we have to move some games around.  First, the new 2nd game in January will be another favorite, Samurai.  That game is moving from February.  To replace the Samurai game we will be throwing on another 15mm TWI game on the 1st weekend in February.  Both will be good times.

Finally, we will be putting on our traditional demo games at Con of the North again this year.  These games will include 15mm Koenig Kreig, 15mm Samurai, 15mm Napoleon's Battles, and 15mm Wilderness Wars.  That weekend will also see a requested 15mm Napoleon's Battles game at the Source run by Jeff Johnson.

The next three months will be busy busy for us.  Hope you can make it down for some of the games.

Fall Schedule

Hey gang,

Good news/bad news, the new schedule is up and there have been some changes (the bad news.)  Just a note for people using this page for scheduling, the list of event to the right is the correct list even if there is no corresponding blog post explanation for it.  The change is on the 17th because there will not be enough Russians present for the game.  In consultation with Tom the schedule has been reworked to have a WAS/SYW game instead.  It will be a great time.

The good news is that Noel will be returning for that game!  As you know, Noel has been home taking care of some medical issues for about the last month.  He will be returning to the Cities before the game on the 17th and will be joining us then.  If you have a chance please stop by and wish him well.

I don't expect any further changes to it, though it is possible that we end up moving the 11/19 game.  No decisions have been made yet and no plan ever seems to survive the first five minutes of posting.  In the future we will be looking to add a Bronze Age chariot game, a battle between the Assyrians and the Babylonians.  Hopefully we can make that work out.

Late Summer and early Fall schedule

Hey gang,

Here's the updated schedule for the next three months.  Please note that there has been a change for the first game in September.  Due to a wedding that will keep 2/3 of our 10mm Russian 1812 collection from being available I have flipped the two games in September so that the first game will be X-Wing and the second game will be 10mm 1812 Campaign.  Otherwise, everything else is on track and I have confirmed the games with all of the gamemasters.  Hope you can come out and join us.

Spring 2016 Schedule

Hey gang,

Here's the Spring Schedule for the group.  Please note that there is nothing posted for 5/5 or, as it is usually known, Free Comic Book Day.  I have not checked on availability for that day yet.  I'll let you know when I know.

Schedule Change, go figure...

Hey gang,

Of course there was a schedule change.  In order to give Tom more time to get some more 10mm Russians ready for the next FoG Napoleonics game I had to switch the 2/20 and the 3/5 games around.  We should see some elements of the Russian 4th Corps and 2nd Cav Corps at that time.

Also, clarifying what we will be playing at Con of the North on the weekend of 2/12-14, the schedule is as follows:

Friday afternoon - Albuera, 15mm Napoleon's Battles
Friday night - Wars of Jumbled Alliances, 15mm Koenig Kreig
Saturday morning - Samurai, 15mm FoG (R)
Saturday afternoon - Battle of Freeman's Farm, 15mm Wilderness Wars
